He uses the Estate as a means to line his pocket, and owns a 5% investment in it aside from his "U.S. agent" status. He, under the guise of the Conan Doyle's heirs, extorts licensing fees and trademark licenses that are illegitimate, but does so knowing that it is cheaper to pay than dispute his claims in court. I just received word from another source citing another more secret source that Jon's "departure" was involuntary, which plainly seems a very bad move. There have been, and will continue to be, Irregulars who are kind of a pain in the ass to whoever's running the joint. (Sheepishly raises hand.) That goes with the turf. But, being an advocate of universal investiture, as I am, I can't help but side with eternal investiture as well.Sherlock Peoriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09896656391037436805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6512050174377678428.post-35839097904242990452014-06-13T19:50:19.979-05:002014-06-13T19:50:19.979-05:00I'm a BSI (1980) and far as I know will be unt...I'm a BSI (1980) and far as I know will be until I'm dead. Same with Jon. I think the current Commissionaire is assuming power he hath not and can't go about excommunicating members as he pleases--and certainly not a member of Jon's longstanding service to the cause. There will be very few (if any) Irregulars who agree with what appears to be a capricious decision made from personal dislike. In any organization there are going to be people who disagree or just don't get along.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6512050174377678428.post-40194120790797765722014-06-08T17:43:37.831-05:002014-06-08T17:43:37.831-05:00Does he have to put Jon Lellenberg formally known ...Does he have to put Jon Lellenberg formally known as B.S.I. on his correspondences now?Howard Ostromhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07974147547261766167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6512050174377678428.post-44797710385418780332014-06-08T07:23:43.265-05:002014-06-08T07:23:43.265-05:00I'm in disbelief about Jon Lellenberg's de...I'm in disbelief about Jon Lellenberg's departure from the BSI -- whether voluntary or by fiat. I've never met Mr. Lellenberg but am familiar with his Sherlockian work and his prominence, and find it quite curious and mysterious. <br />Ron Kritter // Milwaukee// rkritter@gmail.comronald.kritterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09422417688206926746noreply@blogger.com
